Glass balustrades are perfectly suited for pool surrounds, outdoor entertaining areas, verandas and balconies. Artform takes great care to achieve finished results that are spectacular whilst adhering to Australian Safety Standards. We understand that a top rail needs to be fitted where there is a drop of 1 metre or more from the finished surface. If this is not suitable for your project, we will come up with a solution by engineering toughened laminated balustrade glass, which stays in one piece when broken. This type of glass does not require the top rail.
Fixing styles for fences and balustrades differ dramatically. Our experienced glaziers can advise whether a channel fixing or spigot system is best for you. Glass can be top or side-mounted, even the style of glass can vary with the use of clear or frosted glass as a privacy panel. Alternatives like metal and wood are an unsightly obstruction to a seamless view. They can also be a climbing hazard, containing cross beams that can be used by children to scale the fence when no adults are around to supervise.
